Description:
This is a splendidily beautiful double rifle built by Friedrich Bartels and sold in his shop in the beautiful city of Wiesbaden Germany. The caliber is unique...its a 9x72R, and not the 9.3 cartridge. Bores are excellent, the Nickle Scope from Magdeburg is crystal clear and features standard cross hair reticles. The wood is rich in grain and contrast, and the checkering is perfect. The Buffalo horn trigger guard has nice figure and is damage free too. The side locks are action are very nicely engraved and the cocking indicators point to gold inlaid "geladen" on the sidelocks when the gun is cocked. Barrels, besides being fenced, are 24.5" long and have one standing and one foldiing rear sight in addition to the claw mounted scope. Double set triggers. Barrel blue is superb and the rib is marked with the makers name.The muzzles are border engraved too. This is one of the nicest double rifles you will ever see and it is excellent condition.
