Description:
Serial #138229, .297/.230 Cal., 4" barrel (tube is 5 1/2") with an excellent, bright bore. This is a handsome Mk. V outfit that retains 90-95% of the original blue finish that has trace silvering along the exposed edges and projections on both the frame and barrel assembly. The original cylinder has been removed in favor of a Mk. IV Morris tube adapter chambered in .297/.230 which is in matching condition, although the back sight and stirrup are no longer present. The checkered horn grips are in very good-near fine condition with only minor handling marks and blemishes as well as some light flattening of the points. The .297/.230 cartridge is a centerfire, bottlenecked round that was used for marksmanship training and fired a light, .23 caliber bullet.
