Description:
A Savage  Navy Model Civil War percussion revolver in N.R.A. "Very Good" condition. All metal has a uniform grey color with a minimum of staining or other marks. The action is very, very strong. The right side walnut  grip is in very good condition. The left side grip  has a few dings and a small piece of one corner  is missing. I have seen the same missing corner on a number of these guns. Might somehow be a week spot. The Savage name and patent dates on the barrel top are all sharp. It is .36 caliber, 6 shot..The octogon barrel is 7& 1/8" long. The overall length is 14& 1/4". It weighs 3 lbs &  7 ounces. A total of  20,000 were made between  1860 and 1866  with 11,984 being bought by the U.S. Government for the war effort. It has what is called a "figure 8" trigger. This is one of the heaviest and strongest pistols ever made .  A real piece of American history.

Antique- No FFL required.
