Description:
Finding any Winchester 1893 shot gun is just about impossible but to find one in orig Riot configuration is unheard of. There was only 11 built. Serial range is 11k. The Winchester Letter confirms configuration. Gun is just about entirely a grey color with nice smooth metal. All markings are readable. Bore is VG with no pitting. Some light roughness in spots. Action works well. Orig round knob butt stock is in VG cond. A couple of light age cracks coming off the frame. Fit is VG. This does have the orig nipple top metal butt plate. Forearm is not too of bad shape. A couple of small cracks coming off the screw holes and a slightly bigger crack on right hand side that was repaired decades ago. No losses of wood. The Winchester 1893 shotgun was not a success but it certainly did pave the way for the 1897 that was a resounding success! Highly collectable shotgun!!
