Description:
S#100796, 22 S, L +LR 24 inch barrel, bright very good bore. This rifle was built from 1936 to 1940. Features include tube magazine and wing safety on bolt. Barrel and receiver show numerous British proofs, this may have been a lend lease gun. Metal surfaces retain 60% blue, fading brown in places, with evenly scattered tiny oxidation stains and a few dings and scratches. Stock is sound with many marks and about 60% finish. Butplate is worn and has a "Remington" in circle. Rifle still has original sights. An interesting pre-war sporting rifle with neat British proofs. FFL or C+R
