Description:
Batch #191, .31 caliber, 4” barrel cluster with good, lightly pitted bores. This is a Worcester-made pistol that has a good 40-50% of the original blue remaining on the barrel cluster that blends smoothly into a mild plum-brown patina on the balance. The engraved frame has a darkly mottled gray patina with some even, mild freckling on the gripstraps and nipple shield. The bar hammer has some mottled freckling as well with muted original color case-hardening still present along the sides, and the matching numbered walnut grips are in fine shape with scattered minor handling marks and blemishes in the original piano varnish. The mechanism is still tight, functions flawlessly, and the pistol rates fine-near excellent condition overall. Antique
