Description:
Serial #350699, .32-20 (.32 WCF), 6” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1913-made revolver that retains about 90% of the original blue finish with areas of silvering at the muzzle, along the high edges and projections, and a light turn-ring on the cylinder. Some very mild flaking has occurred along the forging lines of the frame that has given the metal a peppering of plum-brown spots. A previous owner has modified the revolver a bit: the original front sight blade has been partially milled in order to enhance the contrast; and a simple notch rear sight has been milled and installed at the rear of the topstrap. The work is well done, but the front sight is bent slightly to the right. The checkered hard rubber “COLT” grips are numbered to the gun on the interior and are in unusually fine shape with only some minor scattered handling marks and some mild flattening of the points. The lock-up is rock solid and the action functions flawlessly as you would expect from this era Colt. This is a very good plus-near fine example of a desirable double-action Colt revolver (with user modifications) and would make a great shooter or addition to your collection. FFL or C&R
