Description:
Serial #C15626, .303 British, 25" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This interesting, 1958 dated rifle was built on ex-Fazakerly equipment at the Pakistani Ordnance Factory in the Punjab and has retained about 90% of the original black Suncorite finish with the balance flaked and worn to a mild pewter gray patina at the muzzle and along the edges of the receiver. The matching numbered bolt has a commensurate amount of mixed blue and Suncorite still present with silvering along the handle and other bearing surfaces. A milled micrometer rear sight is fitted (the aperture is slightly deformed from an old impact) and there is a small unobtrusive import stamp on the left side of the receiver. The matching numbered forend as well as the handguards and "7.62", "M^D/P", and "RPD/ESA" marked correct but non-original buttstock have been arsenal refinished to fine condition with only scattered small handling marks and surface blemishes. A single magazine (numbered to a different gun), nylonsling, and a No. 4 Mk. II type bayonet with scabbard and frog are included which are all in excellent condition. This is a well-made Pakistani No. 4; uncommonly seen in the U.S., and rates fine condition overall. {Ref.
