Description:
SN 24430 is an all matching grenade rifle. Bright vg bore, 303 cal imported and dated 1964. This piece shows the original painted finish and very good wood. This rifle is mounted with the Ishapore developed four screw reinforcing sleeve. This was an improvement over the wire wrapping. The rifles with this sleeve are much scarcer than the soldered copper wire method. The author of India's Enfields, Robert W. Edwards 4th Ed at page 116 states that the sleeved examples were built in limited numbers and considered to be quite Scarce. FFL or C&R
