Description:
This is a very, very nice 1953 era Winchester Model 70 Pre64 in 22 Hornet. Serial number 250567. The chamber is opened to K Hornet but nothing was inscribed on the barrel. The rifle shoots the standard Hornady factory .22 Hornet ammo into less than 1 inch at 100 yards. The metal on this rifle is 99.5% which makes it a closet queen in its own right. The stock has some markings and is about 93% I would say or better. I am not a good photographer and my photos make the stock finish look blotchy which is not. If you are disappointed with any part of this rifle I will take it back with no questions asked. Hard to find one any nicer. The scope is a Colorado made Redfield 2x7 variable. Gun is original other than the detachable sling swivels and the open sight plug. Rifle will ship for $25.00 in the lower 48 states which includes insurance.
