Description:
A rare to be seen Webley Fosbery model 1903. .455 calibre, 6" barrel.marked P webley and sons London and Birmingham on the top of the barrel..Webley Fosbery on the left side of the barrel strap..455 cordite on the left side of the frame with the flying bullet logo. Ser# 3939 on the right side if the frame.Made posibly between 1905 and1906. All markings are very clear and sharp.This is the small frame small cylinder model. It is in excellent working order and all matching and correct except the grips, which are walnut custom made to look like the originals. They are nice and have a good fit. The ser# is marked on the frame, cylinder, and barrel as it should be.The interior of the cylinder and bore are very good ,the bore is almost minty. It is a solid gun and functions solidly. The finish appears to have been re done. It's very hard to tell when. The color and patina are very old. The color under bright light and held next to another original are identical. leaving me to believe the webley factory was involved .Its been known the factory has done this many times.. Its a very good looking piece and would make a nice addition to any Webley collection. Call with any questions, Tom 612 859 5673
