U.S. Springfield Model 1871 .50 caliber carbine. Ward-Burton Model with saddle ring. Approximately 316 carbine made, making this a scarce model. Gun was originally finished “in the white” with a black case hardened action. Gun has an even patina on the barrel. Bore is excellent. Stock has a cartouche under the saddle bar. Stock is solid with small dings and nicks. Rare!
