Description:

U.S. Model 1896 Krag carbine .30-40 Krag caliber carbine. Rear sight is correct with “C” marking. Excellent stock cartouche dated 1897. Marked 1896 on receiver without “Model” mark. Buttplate has oiler trap. Bore is poor and worn. Action works perfectly. Stock is very good. Barrel has some light scattered pitting. This is the same model Krag used by the Rough Riders at San Juan Hill.
