To commemorate the 100th year of the name Marlin in the gun making business, Marlin introduced the Centennial Matched Pair Presentation rifles. The 2 guns in this pair are Marlin model 39 and Marlin 336. These are a special pair that are marked on the bbl "Brace of One Thousand". On the left hand side is an engraved buffalo with the date 1870 and on the right hand side of the receivers is a Marlin medallion "1970". Both guns have the serial number 1,000. Beautiful dlx wood. These are NIB. Only 1000 Centennial Matched Pairs will be produced. They are bound to be a valuable collector's item. A beautiful pair of Marlins!
