This is a really nice 1920ish, Savage mod. 99E in 250-3000 caliber..Rifle shoots the 87 and 90 gr. bullets and its super accurate with shoots 100 gr. flat base bullets an 117 RN Hornadys..It is extremely accurate and you can expect sub one inch 100 yard groups more often than not with about any load, including Fac. Rem and WW ammo, it also shoots most loads to the same POI..The original rust blue is 95 % plus. The wood is solid with no cracks or abuse other than some hunting dings. Lever shows a lot of original case color . feeds and functions 100 %. I would expect anyone to be delighted with this nice rifle in a great caliber, and its priced right. The new issue of Successful Hunter show cases this very same gun with pictures and a nice write up named Newton's Newtons Masterpiece...This model sells for $$1500 to $1700. and most are not as nice as this one..You can't beat this for a savage 99, it has all the bells and whistles and priced way below its worth. I have owned the gun for a very long time.
