#4757 Winchester 1873 OBFMCB 44WCF, 18XXX(1876) …and having the VERY scarce and desireable overlength 26” barrel combined with being a “half-nickel” finished gun (frame, nosecap, and butt plate) and single set trigger. This 26” length is scarce because MOST buyers ordering an extra length wanted the 28” length, as it was significantly longer whereas the 26” was almost considered a standard length. Also, these over-length barrels are VERY rare in the 1st Variation Winchester ‘73s. Fitted with a Beeches style flip-up front sight and very interesting “Kentucky style”long-based buckhorn rear sight. Mechanically, it is smooth and tight with a well above average bore, at least an 8 on a scale of 10 …and looks like it might clean even better. Very nice smooth metal with 80% coverage a thin bluish patina on the barrel and magazine, 75-80% factory nickel on the frame, fine markings, and overall WELL above average, especially for being a 1st Variation..
