Description:
I am a Private Collector, retired, & selling off my Vintage Personal Estate Gun Collection. Unlike large retailers  I am Receptive to all Fair Market Offers & will respond to all inquiries. Winchester Introduced the Model 62 to take the place of the Model 1890 & 1906 which were dropped from production in 1932. Winchester Offered this Gallery Version, which only used 22 Shorts. Gallery Models have a triangular loading port which the Standard Model did not have. Manufactured in 1957 & reconfiguration in the Breech Bolt Mechanism. & Trade Mark Name designation changed to introduce the Winchester 62A "GALLERY MODEL" With Adj Rear Sight, Dovetail Front, Factory Proof on top of the Barrel & Receiver at the Breech. Winchester / Trade Mark on the left side of the Receiver, 17 Groove flat bottom forearm & smooth straight grip stock W/ checkered factory hard rubber Buttplate. 23" inch Barrel & Overall Lenght 39" 1/2 inches. 97% original blue finish with minor slide wear & smooth gray patina on lower tang by handgrip & serial # & slightly under front of Barrel tip, left side receiver under trade mark name, has a couple lite discolored stain like marks/which does not compromise integrity in any way. Stock has NRA Sticker : ( However, Can be removed & cleaned using correct solvents.  A number 3 was imprinted on left side stock by handgrip ( Shooting Galleries did this for cleaning purposes, to ensure the right parts were reassembled ) Wood is 95% with minor depressions & handling wear, no cracks or chips. Sturdy smooth action, This rifle still has the Spring Guide on front Strap which was linked to a chain at the GALLERY counter, (A safety precaution). This Rifle was barely used and taken out of use by owner. Truly a Desirable Collectors Piece. Enter 732 in search box to see all my listed Items.
