This is a 1913 dated pistol that has all-matching numbers (except for the magazine) with the metal retaining 85-90% of the original blue finish that has some mild silvering at the muzzle and along the edges as well as general fading to a mellow plum-brown patina due to use. About 50% of the original straw color remains with the balance turned to a darkly mottled gray patina. The checkered wooden grips are numbered to the gun on the interior, and are in very good condition with some light-moderate wear at the butt, and some flattening to the points. The pistol is uit marked along the frontstrap: ?M.G.K. I.R.375. 19.? (Machine Gun Company, 375th Inf. Reserve Regt., Pistol 19) The pistol comes with a single non-matching wood base magazines and is a fantastic example of pre-World War I Luger with desirable MG unit marking. The pistol is in very good-near fine condition, and would be a great addition to any collection.
