This is a hard to find and very nice Winchester 1873 in .22 Short. The metal has mostly bright blue with some patina in the carry areas. This is a third model with a tight dust cover and a 24 inch octagon barrel.

Metal Condition: Very strong blue with machining lines and limited white on the sharp edges. The carrier has not been beat on.
Wood Condition: Small frontier marks on the butt stock and a crack in the forearm.
Bore Condition: Strong rifling with some very old small pitts.
Barrels: 24 inch octagon with sights.
Triggers: Single.
Stock: Mid-grade American walnut with a straight grip and Crescent butt.
