A very nice original 2nd model 44-40 with beautiful clean tang sight and working set trigger. 71XXX S# puts the DOM at 1881. Is in the popular classic Octagon barrel full magazine crescent butt configuration with a very nice bright strong 8-9 bore. The pictures tell the story. HOWEVER LET ME CLEAR SOMETHING UP! In the second picture showing the left side of the receiver - the dark spots are NOT rust . They are more like 'stains' on the metal and look much worse and larger in the picture than they really are. Very clean original unfooled with classic gun with nice wood and a snappy tight crisp action.
