Description:
This John Wayne 1892 carbine appears to be unfired, possibly test fired only with no box or papers. The frame is silver colored engraved with scenes of the DUKE, has initials and a banner with: COURAGE, STRENGTH, GRIT. The American walnut wood stock has high figural grain, and a silver inlaid JOHN WAYNE coin, like a presentation gun. The factory high polish 18" barrel with a crisp clean shiny bore is 99% blue and has the correct 1892 sights.This large loop lever action in .44-40 is the nicest lever action made by Winchester.
