Description:
The model 1878 had exposed hammers. This is a 12 ga with 30" bbls. The bbls have a grey/brown patina with a pretty Damascus pattern. Bores on this fine old shotgun are VG cond. A couple of very light pitts and slight roughness. Bright and shiny. Lock up is nice and solid with no wiggle in the hing pin. The frame still exhibits some case colors. All markings VG. Buttstock is exceptional. Colt shotguns in both hammer and hammerless are very hard to come by. They were a fine quality shotgun and this one is well worth collecting!
