#40164. Nimrod Suhl, Drilling 16x16x 6.5x57R . Made for Franconia in September 1940.
23” barrels in Krupp steel, with very good bores, Chamber and rifling of the 6.5 are in great condition
The shotgun bores are shiny with a few very small ripples from outside dings. The chambers are 2 ½”
Bores are .669”, chokes are .032” and .032” (full and full) walls 9” from muzzles are .028”.
Bluing has smalls dings and scratches, but is still 80 % condition. Forend has been replaced .
Stock length is 14 ¼ “ over a 1/8 horne buttplate, drop is 1 ½ ‘” and 2 ½” cast off ¼”.
Stock has dings and scratches but is structuraly very sound.
Classic steel action with Greener cross bolt , bushed firing pins, automatic rifle sight, side safety,
Cocking indicators and set front trigger. The extractor is 2 pieces , raising the rifle casing over the shotgun shells.
Weight is 6 Lbs. 11 oz..
It will not be the gunvault queen , but it would be a great pickup gun , compact and chambered for the great 6.5X57 R cartridge.
