EARLY COLT U.S. ARMY MODEL 1911 SEMI-AUTO .45 ACP CAL. PISTOL CIRCA 1913. Early production U.S. Army issue manufactured in 1913 and serial numbered in the 29,xxx range. All original with the trigger and the housing WW2 upgrades. 30% plus original blue finish evenly mixed with patina. Original grips very good plus with the right grip worn and possibly a field replacement. Excellent bore and working order. Excellent markings with the early style patent dates and Colt logo at the rear of the slide. Original magazine with lanyard loop base. Would have been in service during the Mexican Punitive Expedition as well as WW1.
