EARLY CIVIL WAR ERA MANHATTAN 1ST MODEL .36 CAL. PERCUSSION NAVY REVOLVER CIRCA 1860-61. 5 shot single action with 4” octagon barrel marked on the top flat “MANHATTAN FIRE ARMS MFG. CO. NEW YORK. Very good plus example with all matching serial numbers in the 3xxx range and original in every respect. Desirable “10-STOP” cylinder with 5 engraved oval panels depicting Naval engagement scenes. Only 4200 made. Nice original metal patina and nice crisp edges and markings including the cylinder scene. Excellent brass straps with mellow patina. Grips very good with the original varnish. Right flat with dark worn spot near backstrap but looks good. Working order and good bore and chambers. Many of these were carried by officer’s of both sides during the war.
