Description:
Antique Early 1800s Powder horn with hand shaped funnel Plugged butt. It measures about 3 1/4 inches across the butt, and is about 12 inches long on the outside curve, with a 1/4 inch spout opening. The spot plug is missing but still has the hand twisted cord that attached to the bag strap. These cords are attached to the horn by means of brass eyes and rings. The butt has a hand shape funnel with a hand carved threaded plug. Would make for very easy filling. It has nicely shaped spout area that allows good finger control when pouting powder. The butt plug is held by 8 hand made steel nails. This is a plain horn that is thinned down to be able to see your powder. It has no chips or holes.
