Description:
This is a Savage Navy Civil War Revolver  rated at NRA Very Good to Fine. The walnut grips are very good, retaining over 50% of the original varnish finish with only minor handling marks. All metal  shows a uniform faded blue finish with some spotting but no rust or bad scratches or other damage. All lettering is sharp. The action is very strong and works perfectly. All percussion nipples are in good working order. The top of the barrel is marked: "Savage R.F.A. Co. Middletown, Ct.,. H.S. North. Pattened June 17,1856, July 10, 1859, May 15, 1860." These revolvers were made from 1861 to the mid 1860's. It is a 6 shot .36 caliber pistol with a 7 1/8' octagonal barrel.  They were bought by both the Army and the Navy. There is an inspectors "H" mark on the left side of the barrel just forward of the cylinder.

I am selling a large collection.  All reasonable offers will be considered.
