Description:
S# 209229, 22 S,L +LR, 24 inch barrel, bright very good bore with a few spots of erosion. This rifle was built in 1900 and remains n very good condition with 40% case colors on frame and about 50% blue on barrel and mag tube. Barrel is fading brown towards receiver, rear slot is filled with a lead slug. A Lyman number 2 combination tang sight first variation (missing eyecup) is mounted on top tang over 2 line Marlin 1897 marking. Wood remains sound and shows typical dings, scratches and handling marks. Length of pull remains 13 1/2 inches to the original MFA CO hard rubber butplate. FFL or C+R
