Description:
This beautiful double barrel side by side 12 ga., engraved, hammer shotgun by Wilhelm Friedlein was made prior to 1891, when the German gun maker's guild began requiring proof marks. The stock is a lovely piece of walnut with cheek rest and checkered hand grip. The barrels are 30 inches. The bores are both completely smooth and in excellent condition. It has a factory rib and sights and double triggers. There are two small pits on the outside of the right barrel near the chamber, and the sling swivel has detached from the underside of the rib, but it will come with the gun.The butt plate is engraved in relief with a hunting scene.
