Description:
A fine 19th century American repousse pewter silver plated flask, circa 1860 Civil War era. A bulbous oval form with a weighty feel in the hand. It has the lid which is often missing on these early flasks. The rich floral repousse is in very good shape, not caved in as so many of these pewter flasks are. The back does show some dents and silver wear. SIZE: 5 inches Height x 3 inches Width. x 1" Thickness. CONDITION: normal wear consistent with age, overall clean and in good condition. Will need a new cork seal in the lid to prevent leaking. MARKINGS: Repousse designs. No manufactures marking present.
