This is a restocked Fox CE 16ga. built in 1919, that now wears a dynamite figured straight stock with XE checkering, great modern dimensions, petite, perfectly proportioned beavertail forend, workmanship beyond compare. Balanced perfectly on the hinge pin, weighing just 6lbs. 2oz. the internals of this gun have been stripped, cleaned, inspected, and properly lubricated, ready for decades of shooting upland birds and clays. The CE engraving was some of the most handsome put out by Fox and this gun has exceptionally clear, sharp engraving with 99% Doug Turnbull Restoration case colors, barrel blue, and trigger guard charcoal blue. The gun is tight on face and hinge, has 28" #3 weight Chromox Steel barrels choked SK/IC (.005/.011), mirror bores, tight ribs, perfect screws, just excellent mechanical condition. If someone wanted the forend to be a XE style splinter forend, just say so and we will make one to match, perfectly checkered and shaped to be exactly like a factory XE forend for an additional $900. If you ever wanted to own a showpiece A.H. Fox that is in as new condition, this one should suit your needs. There are so few of the CE 16ga. guns left remaining, this is a great find and a very good investment for your shooting needs.
