Description:
L.C. Smith Specialty Grade 20 Gauge SxS Shotgun
REDUCED PRICE!!  30" BARRELS, CONDITION, EJECTORS!

General Specs: L.C. Smith, Year 1925, 20 Gauge, 6lbs 7.6oz, Side by Side
Serial Number: FEW 76763

I have the privilege of handling 1000's of fine shotguns every year.  I love L.C. Smith guns, the only successful sidelock of the vintage American double shotgun manufacturers.  Not all Elsie guns are created equal, some heavy, some light, some dynamic, some not so much.  This is one of those special Elsie guns, with a feel between the hands that puts a smile on your face.  Most know there are "Featherweight" guns and "Regular" weight guns, but a good proportion of even Featherweight guns are not all that light.  This gun, sn76763 produced in 1925, is a gun that generates that smile.  Weighing 6lbs. 7oz. this gun is a wand with its long barrels and small bores.  There were only 1100 total Specialty Grades in 20ga., and only 226 with 30" barrels, so this gun is rare.  Add the condition of this gun, with perfect screws and wood to metal fit, all factory original finishes, original LOP and butt plate, you have a really great find.  From an investment standpoint, L.C. Smith guns are still under valued, and are poised to spike right now.  Parker has peaked in its growth spurt, Fox is in the middle of its rise to the top, and L.C. Smith is just beginning.  Guns like this one, with unique features and low production, great shooting dimensions, long barrels in fine original condition, are great investments that will increase in value significantly in the next few years.
