I have a Pre-1900 5 digit serial number Model 1894 for sale. It is the .30 WCF Saddle Ring Carbine with the 20" round nickel steel barrel. It is in untouched condition....no refinishing, polishing, etc. The wood is very sound with minimal scratches for its age. The barrel and receiver are both discolored, but pitting appears to be very minimal or non-existant. I can't attest to its firing or bore condition as I have had it for approx 30 years and have never fired it. Lever action appears to be sound. One serial number source assigns it MOD as 1897, making it an antique. Another assigns its MOD to 1899. I do not have, nor intend to apply for, paperwork from Winchester.
