Serial # 78xxx, circa Feb 1, 1898. A VG+/Exc Winchester highwall that conforms perfectly with included factory letter. This antique rifle includies SCHUETZEN DST's, Lyman tang sight w/cup disc, Lyman marked front sight, on a #3 wgt barrel marked 30 US (30-40 Krag). The barrel retains 80% thinning blue turning plum, the bore is VG+ with very light roughness in the grooves. Standard str grip/crescent butt wood is near excellent with thinning finish and some hunting dings. Receiver is very clean with much silvered case color with vivid color under and around the tang sight and near the DST's. Excellent mechanical condition. TRADE CONSIDERED
