Description:
Outstanding Colt Single Action Army revolver, SN 76XXX all match. The etched panel is fine and easily readable. Dates to 1882. The gun retains a good 15% original blue and is a 7 1/2"x .44-40 caliber. The wood grips are excellent and reatin a good 75% original varnish. The bore is excellent and mechanically the gun is fine and indexes perfectly. A very rare and unusual feature is that the back of the hammer is blued. According to several Colt experts(ie Ron Graham) this was a special feature and is quite rare. One of the finest 1st generation Colt SAA's I have owned. REDUCED!! This gun has sold.
