Beautiful 12ga."New Model"hammer gun by C.G.Bonehill.Built around 1885,this gun has 30 3/8" fine damascus barrels choked full (.040") and full (.040").It has perfect bores that measure .734"diameter in each barrels.There are no dents or pits in either barrel.The barrels retain 98% of the damascus pattern and the receiver retains 40% of the original case colors.The barrels are on face with no play at all.The wood is sound with no cracks or damage.The recevier has game bird and dog scene engraving.The hammers are rebounding hammers and are tight and strong.The horn buttplate is embossed with a hunting scene.This is a classic Engish hammer gun in remarkable condition for 130 years old.The barrels are not nitro proofed,but the average wall thickness is .045"so it should be fine for light loads or black powder loads.C&R eligible.
