Serial #GS000179, .223 Rem., 20? barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This pre-ban rifle (sub GS008000 serial number) is equipped with an A2 800 meter adjustable rear sight, birdcage flash hider, and 1:7 twist barrel. The metal retains 95-97% of the original dull gray-black matte finish with some light wear and thinning along a few of the high edges and bearing surfaces. The black synthetic forend and checkered pistol grip are in excellent condition having only some light scattered surface scratches and blemishes consistent with infrequent and careful use. The rifle comes with a single used, but serviceable, Colt-made 20 rd. magazine,original segmented cleaning rod and brush in the stock compartment, and a black ballistic nylon sling. This is an excellent example of a highly desirable pre-ban AR-15 carbine. FFL
