Description:
S# 926912, 25-20, 24 inch barrel, good bore with rifling and even erosion thoughout. This 1924 built rifle shows 20% blue on barrel and mag tube. Receiver and forend cap show a brown patina, lever is darker. Butplate shows a developing patina with added cold blue. Wood was lightly refinished long ago and still fits quite well with top tang and butplate toe slightly proud. Rear sight is a sporting flat top Winchester with thumb piece elevator. Front sight has a white bead. A tang sight was mounted for many years as evidenced by blue on top tang.
