Description:
This is a Webley W.G. Target with a 7/1/2" brl .It has a Morris .297/.230 centerfire 22 caliber conversion in it.. Ser# 19632 mfg aprox 1896 or so.Model 1896 . The morris conversion is a rare item and its installed to stay, No 455 cyl is included. There is a pic of one in the Webley Revolver book by Bruce and Reinhart pg 224.The cyl;is in great condition and the bore is about an 8 out of 10.The action in both single and double action works very well and it locks up solid.There is a lot of nice original blue finish on it with the rest a mixture of plumb and blue. The grip is very vice walnut and in very nice condition.The gun comes with a nickel front hood to protect the sight. 3 extra rear sight blades, The box pictured is not included in the price but will sell for 200.00 = 10.00 shipping.It is a very old vintage 100round box of the correct ammo for this gun, Morris centerfire 22 cal in its original box, opened by me to assure there are 100 rounds in it.Then shrink wrapped again.This is scarce ammo and no longer available. I read that 22hornet ammo can be formed to work?? This is a very larg frame and heavy vintage pistol quite rare to find in this configuration.
