* * * SOLD ON HOLD PENDING FUNDS / German Model 98k Mauser Bolt Action Rifle. serial # 2782 m, cal. 8mm Mauser, with a 24" barrel and a very good bore. This rifle was manufactured by Steyr-Daimler-Puch AG, and the receiver bears the code bnz/43. The metal surfaces retain about 85% blue and may have been arsenal redone on the rear site and barrel, finish is a bit light on the bands and trigger guard. The stocks rate very good and have a few light dings but nothing drastic or alarming. The stock is numbered to the gun in the barrel channel. The numbers appear to be matching. No cleaning rod present. Note: this rifle may have been sporterized at one time as the front of the rear sight has been removed. The condition as described is very good - very good plus.
