Built in 1887, this gun is in excellent condition. Ser. No. 52162 and matching throughout. Blackened Twist
Steel 30" barrels with shiny bores, 2 3/4" chambers and .027" chokes in both barrels. Barrel finish is 95%.
The gun locks up tight and is on face with no repairs or alterations. There is a small % of the original color
case hardening. The wood is in excellent condition with minor handling marks. It has nice feather crotch
figure showing on both sides and has sharp, clean checkering. The dogs head buttplate and grip cap are original with the buttplate having a chip missing at the toe that is shown in a photo. 1 7/8" x 3" x 14 1/4" stock dimensions over the buttplate. The gun weighs 7 lbs. 6 oz. Other than the barrel blueing, this is very original and is showing not much use and no abuse. It will give you many more years of shooting.
