Payment Types Accepted: Money Orders, Cashiers Checks, Personal Checks Description: Spencer Model 1860 Repeating Carbine serial number, 34,XXX, 7 shot magazine fed, .52 caliber, 22" barrel with saddle ring. Original walnut shoulder stock and forearm in good condition with visible Inspector Cartouche on left side of rear stock. Possible Cavalry unit identification stamp behind trigger plate. Top of barrel stamped, "SPENCER REPEATING/RIFLE CO. BOSTON. MASS./PAT'D MARCH 6. 1860." Other various inspector marks are visible on the breech as well as the frame. After the Civil War this Spencer was sent back to the Armory and received the "Stabler Cut-Off" which allows for the use of a single shot and keeps the breech from opening completely. The carbine also received the, "TJS" Cartouche on the left side of the stock which are the initials of T.J. Shepard who was an inspector for Springfield Armory. Has original brass blade front sight with folding rear sight, "V" notch elevation bar in increments up to 800 yards. Bore is in excellent condition.
