Antique Winchester Model 1886 lever action rifle, rare 38-56 cal accompanied by a Cody Factory Letter, full box of 38-56 cartridges. Made in 1888 it has a 26” full octagon barrel, fixed silver blade front sight and original elevation adjustable rear sight. Metal surfaces showing some gray with most of the bluing turned a dark patina. A casehardened frame mechanically fine, clean bore, nice rifling. The markings are clear and visible. Walnut stock, very good wood, has the usual handling marks and no cracks or repairs. A clean, solid original rifle and early collectible with a low serial number. This 1886 Winchester is priced reasonably and will only increase in value. No shipping to California. No FFL required. Shipped Fed Ex in a larger hard case than shown.
