Description:
Spencer Model 1860 Carbine serial number 59,XXX, .52 caliber, 7 shot magazine fed, 22" barrel with saddle ring. Top of barrel stamped, "SPENCER REPEATING/RIFLE CO. BOSTON. MASS./PAT'D MARCH 6. 1860." Inspector marks are visible on various parts of the gun including breech lever, frame, hammer and towards the rear of the hammer plate. The stock has two repairs on the forearm, one on each side as well as one repair to the right side of the shoulder stock. The carbine retains original sights including folding rear sight with "V" notch elevation bar in increments up to 800 yards. Finish is a light to dark grey with original blue mixed in. The carbine does show some scratches on frame due to use. The bore is excellent. This is a good example of a Spencer Model 1860.
