This is an excellent example of a very difficult to find Colt 150th Anniversary "Double Diamond" copies of the factory letters of pistol set that includes both the "Colt Officers ACP" and the Colt "Python" pistols in the original Colt display case. Only 1,000 sets were manufactured in 1986. The guns have the standard markings as well as the Colt Double Diamond 150th Anniversary logo on the left side of the slide.
Includes the factory supplied cherry wood display case with glass top, black felt lining and a blue and gold 150th Anniversary 2 1/2 inch medallion inset into the case. Includes copies of the factory letters of authenticity originally sent with the guns. The combination of bright stainless, nicely grained rosewood grips, and cherry wood case makes a magnificant display.
Both guns have the same serial number with a DDXXX before one and a XXX DD on the other.
