Description:
Original 2-piece checkered walnut stocks marked '103'; frame is marked serial #1. This gun has the 9 barrel, with the step-down in the barrel to reduce the weight of the gun. The front sight is a ramp made up out of the non-reduced part of the barrel. Again, different than any other front sight that I've seen on a Winchester pistol. The milled down area on the barrel also goes right through the middle of the Winchester legend and stamped right in front of the sight is the regular proof: 'WP' marking as well as a 'P' marking indicating Winchester parts, also indicating the fact that this would have been part of an experimental pistol. I've seen the 'P' mark also used on other Winchester pistols-it seems like they would use miscellaneous parts; sometimes one or two of the parts on the gun would not be blued (left in the white). I find all of these guns quite interesting. All original, excellent condition with 90% original blue remaining, fine bore.
