Description:
Beretta Garcia SO5 EELL ~2 Barrel Set~ 12 Gauge. A two barrel set which includes 28" barrels choked Mod. & Full, and 26 3/4” barrels choked I.C. & Mod. The 28" barrel features a ventilated rib with intermediate and front ivory beads, and the 26 3/4" barrel features a ventilated with a front ivory bead only, no intermediate bead. The 26 3/4" barrels look to have been an addition after the original purchase. The shotgun appears to have been returned to Beretta in its early life, and a second set of barrels were made to order, including Beretta proofs and matching serial number. The shotgun also features a gold single selective trigger (thumb actuated), a top tang safety, automatic ejectors and detachable locks with hidden fasteners. The sidelock receiver, trigger guard, upper and lower tangs are fully covered with ornamental floral and scroll relief engraving, signed by Italian master engraver, Pasolini. The high-grade European walnut stock with strong contrasting grain, has fine-line checkering and ebony capped pistol grip stock, and a checkered butt. The forearm is slender with matching fine-line checkering and matching engraved hardware. Metal condition is good to very good, the original bluing is very good overall but there are a few light scratches on the original barrels (28"). The 2nd barrel set (26 3/4") has some heavier scratches on the left bottom barrel and a few smaller scratches elsewhere. The wood condition is good to fair. The stocks need complete restoration to make the shotgun pop, pardon the pun! The old lacquer is worn a bit in places and there are abrasions. There are also quite a few small scratches in the forearm wood, as well as on the butt-stock which also has some larger scratches and mars. There are three short, 1/4" in cracks in the wrist of the butt-stock. Two coming off the upper tang and one next to the lower tang. Includes it's original Beretta certificate and manufacturing card with specifications, and a Garcia warranty page. Also comes with an older Browning hard case to house the shotgun and its two barrels.
