Description:
A marching Colt Navy model 1851 made in 1863 with SN 1625XX. Gun indexes and locks up good and the barrel address for the NEW YORK office is very good. The cylinder has very , very faint remaining scene. All guns of this time period saw action in the Civil War.Mainspring is good but has weakness. The hardwood grips have much wear, and added finish possibly repairs under the dark color, but show up very well . there are dings on the trigger guard, and the inside edges of the hammer have some pitting and this gun fired many rounds. Metal finish is a mottled grey, and wedge screw looks like a replacement. a very color-full wartime gun. We don’t have asite .I prefer money orders or a check. Item ships when funds come in.
