Description:
This is a Winchester Model 62 pump action rifle made in 1936. It is in NRA Very Good+ condition. It will shoot .22 Cal. S.L.or LR. The Model 62 designation is stamped on the barrel, something which is desired by collectors.The rear sight is an adjustable leaf type while the front sight is a fixed bead type. The bore is very good and the action is very strong and works as designed. There is some fading of the blue finish on the receiver and on the loading tube. The wood is sound with some scratches and handling marks but no chips, cracks or splits and no wood is missing. The buttstock is good with no chips. This is a takedown model with the screw located on the left side of the receiver. In addition to the model type the barrel is stamped "Winchester Repeating Arms Co. Patent Pending".
A nice Model 62 for your collection and one that is fun to shoot. (and .22 cal ammo is still "reasonably" priced.)
