The action is crisp on this early rare London (only 11,000 produced ) colt 1849 31 cal black powder revolver . This holds on all 3 clicks as is supposed to.. the finish is 90% thinning blue on barrel reciver has case colored and has silvered you can see color in the protected areas. the load lever has has case colors especially underneath and protected areas as well. the bore is very good with sharp rifeling and dull shine........the wood grip display 80% original varnish with no cracks or chips.......all proof marks and London barrel address are vivid sharp and clear . all numberers match including wedge.How about that stage coach hold up seane them wheels just want ro jump out at ya and roll down the hill. and is 99% it the best ive ever seen.........the trigger guard is iron and retains about 70% of the original silver plate.......... very nice clean specimne....the serial # 854x is circa about 1854 or 1855
Norm Flayderman say these were only ptoduced in london for3 years,,, starting in 1853. this is a fairly nice revolver and is NRA grade very good......
